Jeff McLendon joined Specialty Building Products in 2003 as Chief Financial Officer and assumed the role of President in 2004. Prior to joining Specialty Building Products, Jeff was the President of Linmar Systems, a professional services company specializing in business process improvement and performance management in the financial services sector. Jeff is a native of Athens, Georgia, and holds a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Georgia. 

Brian Hamm joined Specialty Building Products in 2025 as Chief Financial Officer.  Prior to joining Specialty Building Products, Brian was a Professor of Accountancy at the University of Illinois and previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of Energizer Holdings were he led Finance through its successful initial public offering and TruGreen.  Brian earned his B.S. In Accounting from the University of Illinois. 

Christopher Gerhard serves as SBP’s COO after joining SBP as Executive Vice President in 2021. From 2006 to 2021 Mr. Gerhard served in various roles with Trex, ultimately holding the position of Vice President of Sales after beginning his career with Kraft Foods North America from 2002 to 2006. Mr. Gerhard received a B.A. degree in English from the University of North Carolina—Greensboro, and a Masters in Science degree from Ohio Univer

Ashley Kay joined Specialty building products in 1999 and has over 33 years’ experience in building products distribution. He has held various positions of increasing responsibility with the company. Prior to his current role, he was Vice President of sales for Specialty Building Products. He earned a B.S. degree in marketing and real estate from Jacksonville State University.

Shawn Baldwin joined Specialty Building Products in 2022.  Prior to joining Specialty Building Products, Shawn was the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Select Interior Concepts, Inc. (“SIC”). Prior to joining SIC, Mr. Baldwin served as Senior Vice President of International Legal at Equifax, Inc., where he held positions of increasing responsibility for over seven years. Shawn holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Atlantic Union College and earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.

Khara Julien joined Specialty Building Products in 2022 and is a graduate of the University of Michigan.  Prior to Specialty Building Products, Khara was Chief People Officer for Transportation Insight Holding Company and before that CHRO of Americold Logistics. She served at the CHRO for Gypsum Management and Supply where she led the Human Resources effort in the acquisition of over 30 companies and was responsible for building the people infrastructure to transition GMS from private ownership to publicly traded on the NYSE.

Carl McKenzie joined Specialty Building Products in 2005 and has held various positions of increasing responsibility with the company. He has also served on the board of World Millwork Alliance since 2015. Carl earned a B.A. in Pre-Law from the Bates College.

Bryan Lovingood joined Specialty Building Products in 2004 and held various positions of increasing responsibility with the company. Prior to Specialty Building Products, Bryan held various leadership roles at Stork Food Systems focused on Engineering and Sales. Bryan earned a B.S.A in Poultry Science from the University of Georgia. 

Ronnie Stroud joined Specialty Building Products in 2003 and has held various positions of increasing responsibility with the company. Prior to Specialty Building Products, Ronnie was a Senior Consultant with KPMG. Ronnie earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Georgia and an M.B.A from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
